FT Business Book of the Year Award shortlist announced

In the UK, the shortlist for the Financial Times and McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award has been announced. The award, worth £30,000 (A$55,000), is presented annually to the book with ‘the most compelling and enjoyable insight into modern business issues’. The shortlisted titles are: Dragnet Nation (Julia Angwin, Times Books); The Second Machine Age (Erik Brynjolfsson & Andrew McAfee, W W Norton); Creativity, Inc (Ed Catmull, Bantam Press); Hack Attack (Nick Davies, Chatto & Windus); House of Debt (Atif Mian & Amir Sufi, University of Chicago Press); and Capital in the Twenty-First Century (Thomas Piketty, Belknap Press). Each finalist receives £10,000 (A$19,000). The winner will be announced on 11 November. To see the longlisted titles, click here.
