Harlequin launches literary fiction imprint

In the US, Harlequin has announced a new literary fiction imprint called Park Row Books, reports Publishers Weekly. Park Row Books will release its first title Benjamin Ludwig’s The Improbable Flight of Ginny Moon in mid-2017, with an aim to publish 25 to 30 titles each year. Harlequin’s executive v-p of global publishing and strategy Loriana Sacilotto said the launch is part of the publisher’s plan to ‘aggressively grow’ into the US market for hardcover and trade-paperback originals. The imprint will be co-led by Harlequin executive director Erika Imranyi and v-p of general fiction editorial Margaret Marbury.
