Luthy wins 2016 RWA Golden Heart award

Melbourne-based author Gabrielle Luthy has won a 2016 Romance Writers of America (RWA) Golden Heart award for her unpublished manuscript ‘Shelter Me’ in the contemporary romance category.

Luthy’s win was announced along with the RWA’s 2016 RITA Awards for outstanding published romance novels and novellas, which were held at the annual RWA conference on 16 July.

Luthy was among three Australian RITA award and Golden Heart finalists, announced earlier this year. New Zealand author Elizabeth King’s manuscript ‘The Earl and the Pussycat’ was also a Golden Heart winner for Historical Romance.

The RITA and Golden Heart awards recognise ‘excellence in the romance genre’. For the full list of winners, visit the RWA website here.
