Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Indigenous Writing 2016 shortlist announced

The shortlist for the 2016 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Indigenous Writing has been announced.
The shortlisted titles are:
- Ghost River (Tony Birch, UQP)
- Inside My Mother (Ali Cobby Eckermann, Giramondo)
- Heat and Light (Ellen van Neerven, UQP).
The judging panel comprises Daniel Browning, Hannah Donnelly and Kelly Briggs.
The winner of the biennial $24,000 award will be announced at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne on Indigenous Literacy Day on 7 September.
