ASA emerging writers, illustrators mentorship recipients announced

The 13 participants selected for the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) Emerging Writers and Illustrators Mentorship program have been announced.

The recipients of the 12 Copyright Agency Cultural Fund mentorships are:

  • Emily Stokovich (fiction)
  • Catherine Coltay (fiction)
  • Greg Woodland (fiction)
  • Beth Amos (fiction)
  • Nicole Crowe (nonfiction)
  • Alison Stegert (children’s)
  • Lyn Halliday (children’s)
  • Charlotte Callander (YA)
  • Katerina Craven (YA)
  • Lucie Towers (graphic novel)
  • Kathryn Fry (poetry)
  • Catherine Steele (illustration).

The Edel Wignell mentorship for a children’s book author was awarded to Sandra Makaresz.

Each recipient receives a 25-hour mentorship to develop a work-in-progress during 2017, with a follow-up consultation in 2018 to assist with submissions to publishers or agents.
