Krien shortlisted for British Sports Book Awards

Night Games: Sex, Power and a Journey into the Dark Heart of Sport (Black Inc.) has been shortlisted for the British Sports Book Awards.

The title has been shortlisted in the ‘new writer of the year’ category, alongside Driven (Toby Vincent, Moreton Street Books), Finding My Feet (Claire Lomas, Claire Lomas Books), Salt, Sweat, Tears: The Men Who Rowed the Ocean (Adam Rackley, Viking), Sol Campbell (Simon Astaire, Spellbinding Media) and Stuck in a Moment: The Ballad of Paul Vaessen (Stewart Taylor, GCR Books).

Established in 2002, the awards were created to ‘highlight the most outstanding sports books of the previous calendar year, to showcase their merits and to enhance their reputation and profile’.

The winners in each category will be announced on 3 June. As previously reported by Books+PublishingNight Games won the 2014 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award in the UK.
