Kalin shortlisted for Shirley Jackson Award
Australian spec-fiction author Deborah Kalin has been shortlisted in the Shirley Jackson Awards for ‘outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic’.
Kalin is in the running in the Novelette category for ‘The Briskwater Mare’, published in Kalin’s 2015 collection Cherry Crow Children (Twelfth Planet Press).
The Shirley Jackson Awards are selected by a jury of professional writers, editors, critics and academics and are presented for the best novel, novella, novelette, short story, single-author collection and edited anthology. To see the full list of nominees, click here.
