Serong longlisted for £15,000 Wilbur Smith Adventure Prize

Jock Serong has been longlisted for the £15,000 (A$28,230) Wilbur Smith Adventure Prize, for his novel Preservation (Text).

Preservation is one of 12 titles longlisted for the prize, which celebrates the best adventure novels published between 1 May 2018 and 30 April 2019, by writers of any nationality writing in English.

Now in its fourth year, the prize received almost 100 submissions this year. The judging panel comprises journalist Alex Crawford, Zimbabwean cabinet minister Kirsty Coventry, 2018 winner Abir Mukherjee, literary agent Kevin Conroy Scott, The Reading Agency CEO Sue Wilkinson and explorer and writer Levison Wood.

The shortlist will be revealed on 15 May 2019 and the winner awarded at a ceremony on 12 September in London. For more information, click here.
