Dear readers,<\/p>\n

My name is Brad and I\u2019m the editor of Books+Publishing<\/a><\/em>\u2019s new, free monthly newsletter Independent Publishing<\/em>, dedicated to providing industry advice that helps and inspires independent authors.<\/p>\n

You might remember our previous newsletter Australian Self Publisher<\/em>\u2014the last issue of which we sent out in 2019. After two years of planning, we are back with a new name and a renewed mission to help independent writers navigate the world of publishing and bookselling.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s our goal to help demystify the industry for you. We want to help you connect with services and advice you can trust, whether you\u2019re exploring the best printing options, writing inspiration or marketing your book to its audience, and no matter if you\u2019re working on your first novel, or looking at ways to boost sales of your back catalogue.<\/p>\n

As this is the first edition of Independent Publishing<\/em>, I\u2019ve themed the issue around introducing you to some key, trusted players in the industry. Scroll down to meet representatives from the Australian Society of Authors, DMCPR Media, IngramSpark, the ISBN agency, RM Marketing Services and Ventura Press.
