HarperCollins Publishers Australia announced today that HEDS (Harper Entertainment Distribution Services) is going to change its freight forwarder from Toll IPEC to XL Express.
Toll IPEC will deliver the June release [in store date Tuesday 22 May) and backlist for all HEDS titles, its agencies and its distribution clients, Harlequin, Murdoch Books and Walker Books, up to and including Friday 1 June 2012.
XL Express will commence deliveries from Monday 4 June, 2012 for all books distributed by HEDS, including publications by HarperCollins, its agencies and distribution clients.
Booksellers Please Note: All authorised returns will be captured by XL Express from Monday 30 April. Details will be provided by HEDS’ Commercial Services Team upon request for returns authorisation.
Delivery times will remain unchanged at this stage, however going forward HEDS will be reviewing some release dates to reduce the amount of deliveries per day to booksellers in peak periods.
By moving to XL Express, HEDS is looking forward to an improved distribution service which will be to the benefit of its customers.
