The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and Taylor & Francis are delighted to announce that from 1 January 2013, Australian Library Journal and Australian Academic and Research Libraries will be published by Taylor & Francis under its Routledge imprint. This move will give LIS academics a prestigious outlet for their work, will provide ALIA members with access to scholarly research and will bring Australian research to the attention of a wider audience internationally. As part of the agreement with Taylor & Francis, the journals will be included in the Routledge Library & Information Science (LIS) pilot project, allowing contributors to Routledge LIS journals to retain the copyright to their work and to post the peer-reviewed version of their article within their institutional repository without an embargo period. Members of ALIA may obtain further information regarding the benefits of this move, by visiting the ALIA website: www.alia.org.au/publishing. Non-member subscribers will receive their 2013 renewal notices in due course and may address any queries to the Melbourne publishing office of Taylor & Francis: email: enquiries@tandf.com.au; Tel +61 (03) 8842-2413.

Lifetime Distributors continues to sell more and more books and related products. In early 2013 we will be appointing many more self-employed contracts and distributors and franchisees through Australia and New Zealand. If you like the idea of being self-employed, selling a lot of books and managing your own territory we would like to hear from you. We have especially good conditions for new entrants with book trade and related experience, and ex-booksellers and ex-publisher’s representatives enjoy success with us. You need to know that you will be driving your own van and working quite hard each day and keeping stock in your garage. All stock is provided on consignment and generous commissions are earned. Have a look at our web site www.lifetimedistributors.com.au and call or email me directly if you have a serious interest.
