Simon and Schuster Australia Pty Ltd will cease distribution for Games Workshop PLC of the Black Library range of books from 31 May 2013. Simon and Schuster will sell up to and including May 2013 catalogue new titles.
George Mann, Publications Manager at Games Workshop commented ‘We felt the time is right in the Australian market to make a strategic shift to distribute our titles directly to the trade. We would like to thank everyone at Simon & Schuster Australia for all of their hard work developing and supplying our books to the market over the last three and a half years.’
Kate Cubitt Sales Director said today ‘we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the Black Library team over the past three years and have appreciated Black Library’s generosity in helping us develop a greater reach into the Sci Fi & Fantasy market for the S&S global titles in the genres’.
Any valid Black Library returns need to be receipted into UBD by Friday 26 July. Returns received after that date will not be processed for credit and the stock will be returned at the customer’s expense.
All backorders for titles (aside from OP titles) accrued to 31 May 2013 will be transferred to Games Workshop to supply.
From 1 June Black Library titles will be available in Australia and New Zealand directly from the Games Workshop Trade Dept.

Victorian Book Agencies has recently received a boost to the team with Gary Angliss and Joel Fulton joining forces as partners in the business. Victorian Book Agencies currently represents New Holland, Spank Stationery, Harlequin Books, Australian Fishing Network, BMS Wholesale Books, IQ Art, BMM as well as other local publishing houses throughout Victoria, Tasmania and some Southern NSW regions.
