Advertising bookings for Books+Publishing’s Think Australian export catalogue are closing on Friday 23 August.
Now in its 11th year, Think Australian is an annual overview of the Australian book market, specifically timed to maximise publishers’ opportunities at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
A printed copy of Think Australian will be mailed in advance of this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair to over 2000 international publishers and agents and will be distributed at the fair to more than 15,000 visitors as an insert in Publishing Perspectives’ Show Daily.

Australia and New Zealand Customers
HarperCollins Christian Publishing [HCCP] is pleased to announce that as from 1st August 2013, it will be represented for sales and marketing by HarperCollins Publishers [HCP] with distribution to be performed by Harper Entertainment Distribution Services [HEDS] for both the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Titles will be supplied under HEDS’ Trading Terms with discounts determined by HCP.
New Holland [NH] will continue to take repeat orders and United Book Distributors [UBD] will continue to distribute all current titles until Friday 26th July 2013.
All August 2013 new release orders plus backorders received by NH / UBD will be transferred to HEDS.
NH will authorize eligible returns up to two months after the change in distributor – ie. until Friday 27th September 2013 – but these returns must be received by UBD no later than Friday 25th October 2013 in order to be processed. After this date, returns received by UBD will not be credited and will be sent back to the customer at the customer’s expense. HEDS will not accept returns that were not invoiced by HEDS.
HCCP would like to thank New Holland and UBD for 8 years of service during which time HCCP has enjoyed the benefits of great support from key staff at both locations.
New Zealand Customers Only All New Zealand Customers who do not currently trade with HCP in Australia will need to open a new account with HEDS in Sydney, Australia.
For those who currently do trade with HCP in Australia, your existing New Zealand account number will remain the same.
HEDS will contact all existing New Zealand customers in July in order to finalize supply and returns arrangements. If you are not contacted for a new account, please call HEDS’ Customer Service on 0800-766-569.
