Harpercollins Australia to publish new Nick Cater book: ‘Delusions: The History of Bad Ideas’ x

Following the success of The Lucky Culture, HarperCollins Australia will publish a new book by author Nick Cater in early 2015.

“I’ve been delighted with the debate that The Lucky Culture has started, and I look forward to taking those ideas further,” Nick Cater said. 

“The line of sacred cows awaiting slaughter is as long as ever.”

Publisher Catherine Milne said, “HarperCollins is very proud to be Cater’s publisher. The Lucky Culture was a book whose moment had come, as shown by the fact that it is now up to its fourth reprinting.

“We are absolutely delighted to be signing Nick’s new book, Delusions: The History of Bad Ideas, and confidently expect it will be as intelligent and thought-provoking a book as The Lucky Culture.”

 

Murdoch Congratulates their Award Winning Chefs x

Murdoch Books would like to congratulate their award winning chefs for their recent awards at the 2014 Fairfax Good Food Awards (Sydney and Melbourne) and remind booksellers of forthcoming books in the Murdoch Publishing Programme.

  • Sepia­ – was the Restaurant of the Year 2014 (Murdoch has a 2014 book)
  • Dan Hong – of Mr. Wong won a toque (a 2014 Book)
  • Bodega and Porteno won a toque for each restaurant (Recipes for a Good Time  by Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz , November 2013)
  • Peter Gilmore, Quay retained their hats. (Murdoch has another Peter Gilmore book coming)
  • Neil Perry (Simply Good Food by Neil Perry, November 2013) retained various toques for Sydney and also won some awards last week in The Age Good Food Guide.
