Veronica Roth’s Allegiant takes the world by storm! x

In what was the largest ever first-day sales figure for HarperCollins, Veronica Roth’s YA novel Allegiant sold 455,000 copies globally across all formats on its publication day, October 22.

Anticipation had been mounting in the month leading up to publication and fans rushed to stores to discover what happens in the thrilling conclusion. Allegiant is set to debut at the top of many bestseller lists and with the help of a major ongoing promotional campaign, many thousands of fans are expected to flock to the series.

HarperCollins has good stocks of all titles in the trilogy and eagerly awaits the release of the film adaptation of the first book in the series, Divergent, starring Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet, in April 2014.

Penguin CTR to move to Pearson Australia x

As of November 1st, 2013, sales and marketing of Penguin CTR titles will move to Pearson Australia.

This includes titles from the Pearson Technology Group (PTG) USA and titles from the trade division of Pearson Ed UK.

PTG Imprints include, FT Press, Que Publishing, Sams Publishing, Cisco Press, Adobe Press, Peachpit Press, New Riders, Addison Wesley Professional (Trade) and Prentice Hall Professional  (Trade).

Imprints from Pearson Ed UK will include trade titles from Prentice Hall, FT Press, BBC Active and York Notes.

All trading terms remain the same, and distribution will continue as usual from UBD.
