Hinkler Sells Engage Literacy to Capstone x

Hinkler has sold Engage Literacy to Capstone, a US-based publisher who is the exclusive distributor of the Engage Literacy program in North America, the UK and Ireland.

Hinkler Education was established 4 years ago to create the Engage Literacy program for the supplemental education markets worldwide. This precisely levelled international literacy program has been extremely well received by both the market and educators alike. We are delighted and proud of what has been achieved in a relatively short period of time, and we would like to thank and acknowledge the author teams and Hinkler Education personnel for their tremendous efforts.

Hinkler sells 20 million books per annum in 40 languages primarily to retail, wholesale and direct specialty markets world-wide. Recent growth in the Craft, Stationery and Toy product categories is more aligned to Hinkler’s core Book business and requires increased focus. Therefore the non-core asset of Engage Literacy was a natural divestment.

Hinkler wishes Capstone every success with the Engage Literacy Program.

For all Hinkler enquiries, please contact Irene Bamakos at irene.bamakos@hinkler.com.au.

For all Capstone and Engage Literacy enquiries, please contact Miles Stevens-Hoare at mstevens-hoare@raintree.co.uk.
