Three new bilingual editions of My Two Blankets (Irena Kolbald, illus by Freya Blackwood)—in Arabic, Farsi and Dari, and all with English—will be launched at Readings Carlton as part of National Unity Week.
The English version of My Two Blankets was published in 2014. Through an innovative partnership between the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and Hardie Grant Egmont, the new bilingual versions have been created in the three most common languages spoken by members at the ASRC.
These editions will be launched by Joe Lo Bianco, Melbourne’s global authority on bilingual education, along with the book’s authors and translators.
