Madonna Duffy has been appointed Acting CEO of The University of Queensland Press x

Madonna Duffy has over 25 years’ experience in publishing in Australia and the UK. She has previously worked for publishers such as Pan Macmillan and Penguin Books (in Sydney and in London) and has worked at The University of Queensland Press since 2002, first as Managing Editor, and since 2006 as its Head of Publishing. She has lead the acquisition of fiction, nonfiction and academic books, and published authors such as David Malouf, David Brooks, Matthew Condon, Kristina Olsson and Prime Minister’s Literary Award winners Gabrielle Carey and Sarah Holland-Batt. Duffy has been a member of many industry committees and boards and regularly gives guest lectures and speaks at industry and community events.
