Reviews

Books+Publishing publishes reviews of Australian- and New Zealand-originated titles, three months or more before the book release date.

Learn about how to submit a title for book reviews here.

Citations

Publishers and authors may quote from reviews in promotional material (including blurbs on the back of a book), by citing Books+Publishing as the source.

Please don’t cite the old names of the publication, such as ‘Australian Bookseller & Publisher’ or  ‘Bookseller+Publisher’.

Social media

When quoting reviews in social media, please limit quotes to two sentences, with consideration to how it will read as a stand-alone recommendation of the book.

Please link back to Books+Publishing the original source using our social media accounts.

A good example is this tweet from Allen & Unwin promoting one of their recent junior releases.

Publishing books

Books+Publishing does not publish books, because it is not a book publisher. We publish news about book publishers. A good starting point for seeking a publisher is to contact one of the members listed on the Small Press Network website here.

Reproduction of content

To photocopy, email or otherwise reproduce all or part of Books+Publishing’s content without the written permission of Books+Publishing is illegal.
