‘Overland’ Story Wine Prize winners announced

The winners of the 2016 Overland Story Wine Prize have been announced.

Melbourne-based writer Cameron Watson won the $4000 first prize for his piece ‘Sweeping’, a story exploring the role of a grieving boy, his mother and his future. The story will be published in Overland’s final issue for 2016 and printed on the label of a Story Wine Shiraz.

The runners up are Darwin-based writer Johanna Bell, for her piece ‘Silver linings’; and Melbourne-based writer and editor Zoë Bradley for her short story ‘Silver gates’. Both runners-up receive $500 in prize money, and publication in Overland online and on the bottle of a Story Wine.
