Pizzinga wins 2016 ABA Vic Rep of the Year

Anthony Pizzinga from Penguin Random House was named as this year’s Victorian Rep of the Year at the Australian Booksellers Association’s (ABA) Victorian booksellers and publishers Christmas party on 29 November.

Pizzinga was a joint winner of the award in 2015. ABA CEO Joel Becker said the award was ‘a tight competition, with 15 reps receiving ringing endorsements from booksellers’.

Mandy Wildsmith from Hardie Grant took out second place, and third place went to Allen & Unwin’s Maria Tsiakopoulos.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Simon & Schuster’s Kay Drury and Allen & Unwin’s Mark Hannam jointly won the NSW Country Rep of the Year award, and Walker Book’s Anne Walsh was named NSW City Rep of the Year.
