‘The 52-Storey Treehouse’ wins Booksellers Choice Award at 2015 ABA Conference; bookseller awards announced

Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton’s The 52-Storey Treehouse (Pan) has won the Nielsen BookData Booksellers Choice Award at the Australian Booksellers Association’s ‘Celebrating Bookselling’ dinner and awards night on 17 May.

A number of booksellers were also honoured on the night. Karen Ferris from Berkelouw Books in Paddington, NSW was named Bookseller of the Year, while Gerard Elson from Readings St Kilda picked up Young Bookseller of the Year. Pauline McLeod from Riverbend Books in Brisbane was awarded the Elizabeth Riley Fellowship for Children’s Bookselling.

The awards were presented at the State Library of Victoria as part of the 2015 ABA Conference. The event was hosted by Brian Nankervis and included presentations from journalist Kerry O’Brien and Australian of the Year Rosie Batty.
