Australians are ready to buy and sell at LBF
Australians will be attending this year’s London Book Fair (LBF), running from 10 to 12 March, among an expected crowd of 30,000 publishers, agents and industry professionals.
However, some Australians are facing the obstacle of having their flights rescheduled. Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports have been affected by the Middle East conflict and are major hubs for many flights departing from Australia and Asia. Australian Publishers Association CEO Patrizia Di Biase-Dyson said that “given how many Australians travel to Europe via the Gulf” various association members are exploring alternative routes to London.
In this issue of Think Australian, we profile some of the publishers and agents making the trip from Australia to London as they explain why they will be attending. We asked participating publishers to highlight their best fiction and nonfiction titles they intend to showcase at the fair. We also catch up with the latest Australian award winners and bestsellers, and find out how Australian publishers fared in this market over Christmas and what trends they expect in the year ahead.
If you are attending, we wish you a successful LBF.
