Canberra Writers Festival announces anniversary events

Canberra Writers Festival is hosting a series of events this year, celebrating its tenth anniversary in the lead-up to the festival, which runs from 15 to 18 October.

These events include international, national and local writers.

Pre-festival events include:

  • Bob Carr (20 March) discussing his memoir, Bring Back Yesterday (A&U)
  • J P Pomare (25 March) discussing his new novel, The Gambler (Hachette)
  • Anne Buist and Graeme Simsion (16 April) discussing their upcoming novel, The General Hospital (Hachette)
  • Lisa Wilkinson (30 April) discussing her first work of historical nonfiction, The Titanic Story of Evelyn (Hachette)
  • Rosalie Ham (1 May) exploring her insights into ageing in her new book, Look After Your Feet (A&U)
  • Sarah Wilson (8 May) discussing her new book, I Eat the Stars (Penguin)
  • And, in Night of the Bookers (12 May), David Szalay discussing his Booker Prize–winning novel, Flesh (Jonathan Cape), and Susan Choi discussing her Booker Prize–shortlisted novel, Flashlight (Vintage).
