Inaugural Library Design Awards shortlists announced

The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) has announced the shortlists for the inaugural Library Design Awards, which aim to showcase the best in contemporary library interiors and exteriors.
The shortlisted libraries in each category are:
School libraries
- All Hallows’ School, Potter Library
- Carey Baptist Grammar School, Information Resource Centre
- St Andrew’s Anglican College Learning Hub
- St Joseph’s Nudgee College, Hanly Learning Centre
- St Stephen’s School Junior School Library, Duncraig Campus
Public libraries
- Bayside City Council, Rockdale Library
- Brimbank Libraries, Sunshine Library
- City of Perth Library
- City of Rockingham
- Geelong Library and Heritage Centre
- Moreton Bay Council
- Success Public Library
- Woollahra Library
Academic libraries
- John Philips Library, Western Sydney University, Penrith Campus
- Reid Library, University of Western Australia
Special libraries
- Arup
- Barwon Health Library.
The winners will be announced at the ALIA Library Design Conference at Library at the Dock in Melbourne on 19 June.
