Bert van Bedaf, whose writings made a lasting contribution to the Dutch experience in Australia, has died aged 61. Van Bedaf wrote About the Dutch, The First Europeans to Explore Australia (1988), and contributed a series of poems called Distance to a Monash University migrant study titled Dutch-Australians Taking Stock.
