ACCC ‘monitoring’ Amazon acquisition of The Book Depository

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has announced that it is currently 'monitoring' the proposed acquisition of UK-based online bookseller The Book Depository by Amazon. In a notice in the ACCC's mergers register, available online here, the commission said it began monitoring the proposed acquisition on 11 August 2011....
