Authors among Daily Life’s Most Influential Female Voices list

Several authors are featured in the 20 Most Influential Female Voices of 2012 list, published by online news site Daily Life.

The list, selected from more than 2000 nominations, includes academic and author Germaine Greer; crime writer Tara Moss; columnist and editor Anne Summers, whose books include The End of Equality: Work, Babies and Women’s Choices in 21st Century Australia (Random House); social commentator Jane Caro, co-author of The F Word: How We Learned to Swear by Feminism (NewSouth) and most recently Just a Girl (UQP); writer and producer Marieke Hardy, author of You’ll Be Sorry When I’m Dead (A&U); and journalist Annabel Crabb, author of several political books and a Quarterly Essay.

‘At Daily Life we feel it’s important to recognise, support and celebrate the loud female voices that have driven women’s issues onto the public agenda, ignited debate and agitated for change this year,’ wrote Daily Life editor Sarah Oakes.

‘This list is a timely reminder of just some of the inspiring and powerful women we have in our corner. They have all made an impact on the lives of Australian women this year and the issues that are most important to them.’
