Amazon wins broad patent on reselling and lending digital goods

Amazon has been awarded what appears to be a broad patent on ‘reselling and lending “used” digital goods’, reports GeekWire. A patent filed in 2009 and granted on 29 January awards Amazon the right to transfer digital goods among users, set limits on transfers and usage and charge associated fees....
