Egmont UK creates ‘little library’ with hotel chain

UK publisher Egmont Press has partnered with hotel chain Jurys Inn to provide books for children who are staying at the hotels, reports the Bookseller. At the Jurys Inn Little Library, children will be able to borrow copies of 10 Egmont Press books for bedtime reading, including You’re a Bad Man, Mr Gum! by Andy Stanton, Ellie May Would Like to Be Taken Seriously for a Change by Marianne Levy and Collette the Cow by Nina Govan. ‘When staying with children, bedtime stories are something no-one wants to be without, so I’m sure the Jurys Inn Little Library will be welcomed by many guests travelling with children,’ said Egmont Press publicity manager Jo Hardacre. ‘We see it as a great opportunity for children and their parents to enjoy some of the great books and authors from our extensive list.’ As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Simon & Schuster US has partnered with a hotel in New York to provide guests with a literary experience.
