Oz books selected for 2014 IBBY Honour Book List

Two Australian books will be included in the 2014 International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) Honour Book List.

The Australian section of IBBY has selected Ursula Dubosarsky’s The Golden Day (A&U) for the writing category and Patricia Mullins’ Lightning Jack (Glenda Millard, Scholastic) for the illustration category.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, the New Zealand section of IBBY selected three books to include in the Honour Book List in September.

The IBBY Honour Book List is compiled biennially by the international sections of IBBY, with each country selecting books published in the previous two years.

The 2014 list will be displayed at the IBBY World Congress in Mexico City in 2014 and will be featured in various IBBY publications. To see the local titles included in the 2012 list, click here. For more information about IBBY, click here.
