‘The Broken Shore’ to screen on ABC TV this weekend

The television adaptation of Peter Temple’s novel The Broken Shore (Text) will screen on ABC Television at 8.30pm on Sunday 2 February. The telemovie stars Don Hany, who has appeared in the television series White Collar Blue and Offspring and the miniseries East West 101, along with a cast that includes Claudia Karvan, Robyn Nevin, Erik Thomson, Catherine McClements, Ralph Cotterill and Dan Wyllie. As previously reported by Books+Publishing, The Broken Shore has been adapted for the screen by Andrew Knight, who co-created Sea Change and co-wrote RakeBad Debts and Black Tide. The telemovie is produced by Andrew Knight and Ian Collie (RakeSaving Mr Banks, Bad DebtsBlack Tide) and directed by Rowan Woods (RakeLittle FishThe Boys). The adaptation received a share of $5.6 million in investment funding from Screen Australia in 2012.
