‘EJ12 Girl Hero’ to be adapted for television

Susannah McFarlane’s young readers series ‘EJ12 Girl Hero’ (Lemonfizz Media) is to be adapted into a children’s television series. The series, which is expected to screen in Australia in late 2016 or early 2017, will be developed by children’s television production company Ambience Entertainment. Ambience executive producer Monica O’Brien told Books+Publishing that series one will contain 26 half-hour episodes, which will be developed in consultation with McFarlane. ‘EJ12 Girl Hero’ was first published in 2010. There are now 17 books in the series, with the next instalment to be published in August 2014.
