SA Writers Centre to hold romance writers festival

The SA Writers Centre in Adelaide will hold a romance writers festival from 14 to 15 June.

‘Weekend Romance: A Fair to Remember’ will feature guests including Helene Young, Fiona McIntosh, Trish Morey, Victoria Purman, Elizabeth Rolls, Robert Moore, Kyoko Church, Tricia Stringer, Carla Caruso, Tamara Gill and Keri Arthur. In a series of talks, Fiona McIntosh, Keri Arthur, Tricia Stringer and Helene Young will share their publication journey.

The festival will include workshops on writing characters, setting the location and pace of stories, and romance subgenres. The program also includes break-out group discussions on the subgenres of historical romance, speculative fiction romance, contemporary/category romance, erotic/gay romance, romantic suspense, rural/coastal romance and romantic comedy. The festival will close with a ‘literary love’ quiz night.
