If:book and Editia announce Twitter comp to unearth new writers

If:book Australia and publishing company Editia have announced they will run a Twitter competition to find new writers to appear in the forthcoming print title The N00bz: New Adventures in Literature.

The collection of essays, which was published as an ebook this month, will be printed with an additional chapter in August. The new chapter will include ‘the best tweets and blog post extracts’ unearthed by the Twitter competition, which will run until midnight on 7 July. To enter, writers should ‘experiment with their … craft and share their experiences via the #theN00bz hashtag’,’ said Editia and if:book in a statement.

The N00bz: New Adventures in Literature features several well-known Australian writers who have stepped outside their comfort zone ‘by trying a new professional experience … then pondering the experience in an essay’.

Among the essays in The N00bz: New Adventures in Literature is Sophie Masson’s record of her experience starting Christmas Press.
