Twitter experiments with buy buttons

Twitter has been experimenting with buy buttons on shared product webpages, reports Mashable. However, the company has not yet officially announced the new function, which would allow businesses to display a product, such as a book, and link directly to a purchase page. Tech-news website Recode reports that Twitter is ‘close to finalising a deal with payment services company Stripe’, which would handle the back-end processing for purchases, and that Twitter is ‘likely to partner with at least one online commerce site, Fancy.com, which will let users purchase products inside the Twitter app and website’.
