Affirm, Writers Vic and RMIT launch new writing prize

Affirm Press, Writers Victoria and RMIT have announced a new prize for RMIT students.

The WRAP Synopsis Prize is open to final-year students at RMIT undertaking either Professional Writing and Editing or the BA Creative Writing.

Applicants are being asked to submit a one-page synopsis and one chapter of up to 15,000 words for the chance to win five hours of editorial support from Affirm Press and a year’s free membership to Writers Victoria. The award, which is open to writers in both fiction and nonfiction, which will be judged by a representative of each of the three organisations.

Applications are due online by 18 August.
