Random House launches Murakami Instagram film competition
Random House Australia is inviting readers to create a short Instagram film inspired by the work of Haruki Murakami for a chance to win a $3000 travel voucher.
The competition, which launched on 11 July, is part of a campaign to promote the August release of Murakami’s new novel Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage.
To enter, readers must follow @murakami_film on Instagram, create a seven-second film clip inspired by the work of Murakami, and post their entry on Instagram with the hashtag #murakamifilmau. ‘Entries may address a theme, a motif, a title or whatever else inspires, so long as the entry represents the work of Murakami,’ said the publisher.
The winner will be announced on 12 August with two runners-up to receive a limited edition print of Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage. For more information, click here.
