‘The Great Bible Swindle’ wins Australian Christian Book of the Year Award

The Great Bible Swindle by Bible Society CEO Greg Clarke has won this year’s Australian Christian Book of the Year Award.

Judges described the winning book as a ‘concise, persuasive and friendly appeal to read the Bible’. It was selected from a shortlist of eight titles, ahead of second-prize winner In God They Trust by Roy Williams (Bible Society Australia) and third-prize winner C S Lewis and the Body in the Basement by Kel Richards (Strand Publishing).

The $2500 award celebrates ‘excellence in Australian Christian writing’ and is presented annually by SparkLit to a book written by an Australian citizen and published by an Australian publisher. Last year’s winner was Forged with Flames: A True Story of Courage and Survival by Ann Fogarty and Anne Crawford (Wild Dingo Press).
