Penguin UK to publish videogame tie-in magazine

In the UK, Penguin has acquired world rights to a new Skylanders Universe magazine based on the Skylanders videogames, reports the Bookseller. This is the first licensed magazine acquisition for the publisher, which also owns the rights to the ‘Skylanders Universe’ books. The magazine will feature stories based on characters from the videogames, and will be produced and distributed by Immediate Media. The Bookseller reports that while the new magazine will initially only be sold in the UK, Penguin has ‘already begun co-ordinating with key partners to make the magazine available worldwide’.
