Crace, Lee win 2014 James Tait Black Prizes

In the UK, Jim Crace has won this year’s James Tait Black Prize for Fiction for Harvest (Picador) and Hermione Lee has won the James Tait Black Prize for Biography for Penelope Fitzgerald: A Life (Vintage). Both books were selected from shortlists of four, which can be viewed here. The James Tait Black Prizes are each worth £10,000 (A$17,832) and have been presented by the University of Edinburgh since 1919.
