Parragon restructured into ‘traditional’ and ‘non-traditional’ divisions

In the UK, Parragon Publishing has been restructured into two divisions that focus on ‘traditional and non-traditional book markets’, reports the Bookseller. The Parragon Publishing division will concentrate on traditional publishing operations in the UK, North America and Australasia, while the Paragon International division will focus on ‘areas of our business we want to significantly expand over the next few years’, including non-English language publishing, global marketing and the gift market. The Bookseller reports that Parragon is looking for acquisitions outside of the traditional book space ‘in order to gain access to new products and distribution channels’.
