Seaton and Herft join ABA management committee

Jane Seaton from Beaufort Street Books in Perth and Laura Herft from Dillons Norwood Bookshop in Adelaide have joined the Australian Booksellers Association (ABA) management committee.

‘I believe both Jane and Laura will make valuable contributions to the committee,’ said ABA president Patricia Genat in a statement. ‘Prior to opening Beaufort Street Books several years ago, Jane had a high level marketing background. Laura, who is the manager at Dillons, has been there more than ten years, including several years when it was an Angus & Robertson franchise.’

‘With the recent election of Kerstin Brown from Collins Smithfield in Cairns, we now have a good wide representation from around Australia, from a diverse range of sectors,’ said Genat.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Brown joined the management committee at the organisation’s AGM in May.

The full list of management committee members is published on the ABA website here.
