ALIA conference kicks off

The 2014 Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) national conference main program kicks off today.
The event, which is being held at the Pullman hotel in Albert Park, Melbourne, began with a series of workshops on Monday 15 September and finishes with a library tour on 19 September.
Among the keynote speakers are Roly Keating, chief executive of the British Library; and Susan Benton, president and CEO of Urban Libraries Council in the US. See the full program here.
