Amazon announces ‘Family Library’ Kindle feature

Amazon has announced it will allow users to link their accounts with family members to share content on the company’s Kindle ereaders. The announcement comes after Apple announced a similar feature called Family Sharing. Amazon’s Family Library feature ‘links your Amazon account to that of your spouse of partner so you can easily share apps, games, audiobooks, books and Prime Instant Video content’, the company said. Geek Wire reported that the feature would allow two adults to link their accounts who can then manage up to four children’s accounts. Apple’s Family Sharing feature allows up to six people to share purchases form iTunes, iBooks and the App Store ‘without sharing accounts’, according to the company.
