New online literary journal ‘CTD’ launched

A new online literary journal, Connect the Dots (CTD Journal), has been launched and is now open for submissions.

Originally developed as a project for a creative writing subject offered by the University of Melbourne, CTD aims to ‘explore Australia’s culturally diverse landscape’ and will publish poetry, art, fiction, nonfiction, music and other multimedia. Visitors can subscribe to a monthly newsletter and all published content is free.

General manager Jacqueline Claff told Books+Publishing that new work will be uploaded every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. ‘We considered producing a printed journal à la Going Down Swinging, but as a not-for-profit, we couldn’t justify the cost involved. However, we ran a crowdfunding campaign and managed to raise enough funds to pay our contributors a very minimal amount.’

CTD favours works based on cultural experiences and welcomes submissions of any word count. See the journal online here.
