Goodreads Choice Awards 2014 winners announced

The winners of the Goodreads Choice Awards Best Books of 2014 have been announced. The winners include Landline by Rainbow Rowell (Orion) in the Best Fiction category and The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories by Marina Keegan (Scribner) in Best Nonfiction. Mr Mercedes (Stephen King, Hodder & Stoughton) won the award for Best Mystery and Thriller and Written in My Own Heart’s Blood (Diana Gabaldon, Orion) picked up Best Romance. Among the children’s book awards were We Were Liars (E Lockhart, A&U) for YA, The Blood of Olympus (Rick Riordan, Puffin) for Middle Grade and Children’s, and The Pigeon Needs a Bath! (Mo Willems, Walker Books) for Picture Books. The Goodreads Choice Awards winners were selected by Goodreads members with over three million votes cast.
