Monash University Publishing receives Vice Chancellor’s Award

Monash University Publishing has been presented with a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Exceptional Performance by Professional Staff.

The award was one of four given to teams within Monash University in 2014, from a total of more than 8000 professional staff. The other winners of the award, which is given for high performance over a minimum of three years, were the Monash Incubator Program Team; the Drug Discovery Biology and Medicinal Chemistry Team; and the Bachelor of Arts Implementation—Administrative Support Team.

Monash University Publishing director Nathan Hollier told Books+Publishing that it was ‘very gratifying to have this recognition from within the University of the value of what we’ve done and are doing as an academic publisher focusing on socially relevant books’. The publishing house was launched in September 2010.
