S&S reports losses in revenue, operating income

In the US, Simon & Schuster’s (S&S) parent company CBS Corporation has released its full-year results, which reveal a fall in revenue and operating profits for the publisher in 2014, reports Publishers Weekly. Revenue at S&S fell 3.8% from US$809 million (A$1.04 billion) in 2013 to US$778 million (A$1 billion) in 2014, while operating income dropped 5.6% to US$101 million (A$130 million). S&S previously saw increases of 2.4% in revenue and 32% in operating income in 2013.
