Puffin, PRH and Pan Macmillan winners at UK marketing awards

In the UK, Puffin, Penguin Random House (PRH) and Pan Macmillan were the winners of the Book Marketing Society’s best Christmas campaigns, reports the Bookseller. Puffin Books won the best children’s marketing campaign for its work on David O’Doherty and Chris Judge’s Danger is Everywhere, which was targeted at reluctant readers, and included sending booksellers a Danger is Everywhere crime scene tape and a poster on avoiding danger in bookshops. In the adult field, Pan Macmillan was recognised for its campaign on You Are Here by astronaut Chris Hadfield. It included offering fans the chance to have their science questions answered by rocket scientists. The Shoestring category for campaigns costing less than £5000 (A$9848) was awarded to PRH for a campaign for How to Be Parisian, which made use of the blogging community and brand partnerships.
